Having a New month’s resolution is a
great way to kick off the year but too many people jump off the boat quick.
Sometimes they will last a month,
some will even make it to April or May but a majority of people will certainly
quit before they see any results.
The problem is that the drive to
succeed simply disappears after they start to feel like there are no results.
You will need to be patient but if
you take the steps needed before actually making the resolutions, you will have
a better chance at succeeding.
1.
Be Realistic
What does it means to be realistic?
It only means facing the fact on what you want, it means sitting down and think
on; the thing you want to achieve, what you can do to make it happen and what
are the things you must do to let it come to reality, and all thing you need to
do to let this possible maybe studying, learning a skill, embarking on
research, consulting an expert or even going to school. This is one of the
first step and the most critical step you must make, I could remember in 2010
when I failed in a college entrance examination, I am realistic to myself by
facing the fact that ‘I failed’ and the only thing I need is for me to restart
studying, buying necessary text book and going to ‘extra moral class’ at the
end of the day I score two third of the overall mark. What has help is facing
the fact and enduring the pain-because to have gain you need to pass through
pain, no matter how small it will be. Don’t forget the saying that ‘no pain no
gain’
It is a pity that this is something
that people have trouble with as they tend to dream too big and make it nearly impossible
to be able to achieve it.
Sometimes it is better to dream
smaller and then to surprise yourself because you will feel like it is
"too easy." It is tough to dream too big when you are not sure if it
is realistic to make that goal. Be realistic with your resolution and you will have
a better chance at being able to achieve your resolutions.

Do “Every Day Trick”
One of the greatest thing you can do and which
is best ever strategy of getting things done is to make sure at every day you do
one thing that will help you in achieving what you want to achieve. One of the
greatest thing that help every successful people to get their target is doing
little thing that add to possibility of getting their goal. For instance, let
say you aimed at becoming a successful public speaker you need to do at least
two hours reading each day, and also you need to read books that deals with
skills of public speaking, also you need to consult expert on how to build
confidence in yourself, etc., this you will do every day-by-day, eventually
after six month you would be amazed on what you would have achieved if you do
it on every day basis. You need to know that ‘not how far but how well’ and
also a good-success is achieved overtime and not over-night so by doing little
trick each day you will not get ordinary success but excellent and outstanding
result on anything you wish to achieve.
3. Tell A Friend
A good way to feel the drive to
succeed is to tell a friend about your resolution. You will need to make
yourself accountable for your actions and so it is crucial that you focus on finding
a friend that you can trust or a friend that motivate you not a friend that
judge you or who always find fault in everything you do but friend that accept
you for what God has created you to be.
This friend can also help challenge
and motivate you through the process and so you will need to find a friend that
you can be open to. One of the greatest benefit you will have here is that you
will be afraid of failing yourself at the sight of your friend whom you told so
you will be inspire to get the thing done, by so doing you will achieve your
goal.
